PIABC is approved as awarding organisation by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). From 1st January 2011 PIABC will offer the following qualifications within the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF):
- Level 5 Diploma in Packaging Technology (QCF) (Qualification Accredited Number: 600/0017/X)
- Level 3 Certificate in Packaging (QCF) (Qualification Accredited Number: 600/0455/1)
- Level 2 Award in Packing Operations (QCF) (Qualification Accredited Number: 600/0456/3)
- Level 2 Certificate in Packing Operations (QCF) (Qualification Accredited Number: 600/0457/5)
- Level 2 Award in Timber and Panel Products and their Uses in Construction (QCF) (Qualification Accreditation Number: 600/2059/3)
Existing learners of Level 2 NVQ for Packaging Operators (Qualification Accredited Number: 100/5833/3); Level 3 Certificate in Packaging (Qualification Accredited Number: 100/3202/2); and the Level 4 Diploma in Packaging Technology (Qualification Accredited Number: 100/3188/1) have until 31 December 2012, to complete and claim certification.

Results of the November 2011 Packaging Examinations
Results from the November 2011 packaging examinations will be available from Centres from Friday 10th February 2012. Any examination result queries by candidates should be directed to their centre in the first instance.
PIABC’s first wood qualification accredited
PIABC is please to announce that its first wood qualification, the Level 2 Award in Timber and Panel Products and their Uses in Construction (QCF), has been approved by Ofqual. For more details on this qualification and other planned wood qualifications, please email louise.morgan@piabc.org.uk.
November 2011 Examination Papers

Change of Name
Please note that Packaging Industry Awarding Body Company has changed its name to PIABC.
The change in name has taken place because PIABC has moved away from being an awarding organisation for just packaging qualifications and is now starting to offer other material related qualifications.
