Revision to the Diploma in Packaging Technology - Unit 1 Examination
Please note that a revision has been made to the Diploma in Packaging Technology Unit 1 - The Fundamental Principles of Packaging examination.
The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) has agreed to PIABC's request to extend the time for the examination from 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
This will come into effect for the June 2007 examinations.
Examination Advice
Examination Markers recommend that candidate when preparing for examinations should remember to:
- Read previous examination papers.
- Read Examiners’ Reports on the previous examinations below. In these reports, each individual examination question is looked at, comments are provided on what the examination markers were expecting in candidates’ answers and where many candidates fell down in their answers.
- Write mock answers to past examination papers.
- Write a mock full paper to gain familiarity with examination timing.
- Discuss mock answers with tutors and/or peers.
- Gain experience in planning examination answers to fit in with realistic time scales.
- And ensure you have a good grasp of the subject matter!!
